CPO certification is coming.

We are building CPO certification into PoolPath — the credential included, scheduled classes, and $450 per cert charged to the card already on file. It is NOT available at launch, and this page describes where it is going rather than what you can buy today.

How it works

This is the shape it will take, not something you can do today. Your admin dashboard will show a CPO class calendar — scheduled date, instructor, remaining capacity — and enrolling a tech will charge $450 to the card already on file, register them, and open the curriculum ahead of a proctored exam. None of that exists at launch.

If they pass, the credential is issued. If they do not pass on the first try, they get up to four exam retakes at no extra cost. After four failed attempts, re-enrollment in a future class costs another $450.

Why through PoolPath instead of direct?

The traditional path: pay $450 to a third-party trainer, book your own class, take a personal day off the route, drive somewhere, hope you scheduled around your customers correctly, manually log the cert in your records, manually remember the 5-year renewal.

PoolPath: pay $450, pick from monthly classes scheduled around your operating cadence, your tech's cert is auto-logged in their PoolPath profile, renewal alerts fire automatically, and the certificate record is one click away when an inspector or insurance company asks.

CPO Training vs Pool School

CPO Training is a specific credential event: $450 per tech per cert cycle, delivered through scheduled monthly classes. It is not a subscription; you only pay when you enroll someone.

Pool School is a continuous training subscription, priced per seat per month, for ongoing curriculum (chemistry, equipment, customer service, business operations, internal company training tools). It is what you keep techs in between cert cycles.

Most shops use both. They serve different needs.

Credential included

Your tech ends up with a recognized CPO certificate — the same kind of credential they would receive through the traditional class path. The $450 covers the full cycle: curriculum, proctored exam, and certificate issuance.

No separate fees, no extra paperwork, no third-party trainer to book. Everything happens inside PoolPath.
